A walk-in chiller holds lettuce, meat, dairy and prep at a positive chill temperature. There should be no ice on the walls and no frost on the product. The door sign should read chiller or cold room. The controller set point is usually +1°C to +5°C. Fresh vegetables stay crisp. A freezer room is a different job: ice, frozen boxes and a much lower set point. Tell us which room failed when you call.
